JOB TITLE: Installation Lead 

LOCATION: Denver, Colorado 

AVAILABILITY: Full time 

SALARY: $38 -$45/hour, depending on Tier  

POSITION SUMMARY: The installation lead will be responsible for overseeing Westview’s team of installation technicians while on project sites. This position will report directly to the field service manager, and will operate primarily from job sites, working to ensure a successful job completion from beginning to end. The person in this position will be responsible for supervising the installations of rigging systems, audio visual systems, lighting control systems, acoustical systems, seating installations, etc.   

NOTE: At Westview, we have three (3) tiers of Lead Installation Technician with increasing levels of skills and experience. Starting tier and pay scale will be determined by Field Service Supervisor based on our Tier guidelines, which will be explained during the interview process.

Tier I starting pay – $38/hour

Tier II starting pay – $40/hour

Tier III starting pay – $45/hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Represents the interests of Westview through positive and customer focused attitude
  • Takes part in installation and repairs of stage, performance, and theatrical rigging systems in various performance spaces and venues
  • Keeps a well-organized jobsite 
  • Attends jobsite related meetings as required
  • Acts as liaison between jobsite staff and management teams
  • Keeps accurate, up to date, well organized job site documentation
  • Performs effective end-user training on all scopes of work performed by Westview
  • Provides technical support when needed
  • Ensures management receives applicable documentation in a timely manner. 
  • Exceeds customer expectations for service and responsiveness
  • Works with project team to develop action plans and resolutions when issues arise to ensure completion time restraints are met
  • Stays up to date on the latest published rigging standards, installation procedures, and general practice of the industry
  • Responsible for setting a tone of positivity and teamwork among field employees
  • Helps in the training of lower-level technicians
  • This position requires occasional work in the evenings and on weekends
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ETCP Certified with a concentration in theatre
  • Degree in Technical Theatre or related technical field, or 3-6 years professional experience
  • Extensive customer service skills
  • Strong knowledge of various systems pertaining to entertainment spaces
  • Knowledge of construction industry practices
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong degree of flexibility and independence
  • Proficient computer skills using programs such as Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam 
  • Able to use hand tools, power tools, and electronic test tools
  • Able to travel at least 80% of the time 
  • Must maintain an acceptable driving record and valid license
  • Ability to work weekend and evenings as required
  • Ability to work within a construction site
  • Able to lift up to 65 pounds
  • Able to pass DOT physical requirements

JOB TITLE: Installation Technician

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $26-$36/hour, depending on Tier

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Takes part in installation and repairs of stage, performance, and theatrical rigging systems in various performance spaces and venues
  • Displays eagerness and excitement to learn new things
  • Assists Project Foreman and Site Superintendent in job site organization and site system layouts
  • Produces daily field reports as directed
  • Performs hardware and software upgrades as needed
  • Ensures management personnel receive all applicable project paperwork in a timely manner when directed by senior levels
  • Exceeds customer expectations for service and responsiveness

JOB TITLE: Project Engineer

LOCATION: Denver, CO

AVAILABILITY: Full Time

SALARY RANGE: $65,000 to $75,000/yr

POSITION SUMMARY: The Project Engineer will use their skills to assist the Westview team in generating superior drawings and documentation. The individual who fills this position will have a strong attention to detail and will ensure all Westview generated drawings provide both the client and internal teams with complete and accurate information. The Project Engineer will take ownership of all aspects of their job description and will take pride in producing quality output that is a benefit to all.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Generate AutoCAD drawings
  • Combine CAD drawings, cutsheets, and other pertinent materials to create submittal packages
  • Read and correctly interpret design drawings
  • Communicate with project team regarding submittal package lead times
  • Keep project drawings updated from red lines created by the installation team
  • Assemble close-out documents post project implementation
  • Assist Sales Engineer with take-offs
  • Produce shop drawings from client provided design intent drawings and renderings.
  • Work with shop staff to resolve any challenges that may arise with drawings and other files used in the manufacture of our products.
  • Ensure all engineering documentation is up to date and saved in appropriate project folder
  • Follow the direction of supervisors and manage time effectively
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong AutoCAD background
  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum four years applicable experience
  • Familiarity with theatrical fabrication methods and materials as a builder, installer, and/or designer including an ability to read and understand design drawings.
  • Experience in theatrical rigging and/or lighting industry preferred
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Computer networking knowledge
  • Able to work quickly and accurately

  • Excellent MS Office skills

JOB TITLE: Fabrication Specialist/Technical Artisan

LOCATION: Denver, CO

AVAILABILITY: Full time

SALARY RANGE: $30-$35/hour starting salary, based on experience

POSITION SUMMARY: The employee filling the Fabrication Specialist position will be a hardworking, reliable and creative member of the team responsible for the creation of fabricated materials for a multitude of projects. This individual will utilize a variety of materials, tools, and methods to construct numerous fabricated items for both small- and large-scale projects. The ideal candidate for this role will be an organized, enthusiastic person, able to remain calm under pressure, and with a well-rounded fabrication background spanning multiple materials and construction techniques.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fabricate custom pieces according to project specifications and design requirements across multiple disciplines
  • Construct scenic elements, props, and structural components using diverse fabrication techniques
  • Work with various materials including steel, aluminum, wood, plastics, foam, fabric, and composite materials
  • Execute carpentry, metalworking, and general construction methods as project demands require
  • Operate and maintain a wide variety of shop equipment including saws, mills, lathes, CNC equipment, 3D printers, and hand tools
  • Perform welding operations (MIG, TIG, stick) when required for metal fabrication projects
  • Apply finishing techniques including painting, staining, texturing, and weathering effects
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and design sketches for accurate project execution
  • Provide assistance to the production process and manufacture various fixtures and jigs
  • Evaluate finished products and perform quality control inspections
  • Execute safe use and maintenance of tools, materials and equipment while adhering to strict health and safety guidelines
  • Promote professional customer service skills including appearance and interaction with all contacts
  • Collaborate with designers, directors, and production teams to ensure accurate interpretation of creative vision
  • Troubleshoot construction challenges and propose alternative solutions when needed
  • Requires approximately 15% travel for on-site installation and fabrication work

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical theater, scenic construction, or related fabrication experience (minimum 3 years)
  • Graduation from vocational/technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with AutoCAD and other design programs
  • Proficiency in multiple fabrication disciplines: woodworking, metalworking, and plastics fabrication
  • Experience with both power tools and precision equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and design plans
  • Knowledge of rigging, structural engineering principles, and load calculations preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and project coordination abilities
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Welding certification (AWS D1.1 or equivalent) preferred but not required
  • Experience in theatrical, event, or entertainment industry fabrication strongly preferred
