JOB TITLE: Project Accountant

LOCATION: Denver, Colorado

AVAILABILITY: Full Time

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $65,000-$75,000 Annually

POSITION SUMMARY:

This individual will fill a key role within Westview by supporting the Project Management Department with various aspects of accounting including budgeting, billing, and project costing. The successful candidate will need to be effective and experienced in project accounting and must have the ability to balance accuracy and attention to detail with deadlines and time constraints. The position requires solid accounting experience combined with strong analytical skills. The candidate will fit well in an environment that rewards bright, self-starting, energetic, focused individuals eager to take on responsibility and challenge. Individual in this position will need to possess strong problem-solving skills, work ethic, organizational skills, attention to detail, decision-making ability, and ability to work with others. This position will support various aspects of the financial cycle including, but not limited to, working with company executive team, assisting in various audits, and monitoring metrics of the business to aid in daily operational decisions. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively manage this all, correctly ordering priorities and projects, and communicating with management throughout.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all aspects of project accounting, ensuring project budgets are maintained
  • Review budgets, such as the work plan, staffing, and fees structures
  • Compile and analyze financial data, identify trends, and offer suggestions for improvement
  • Ensure accuracy of all project accounting related data, audit transactions to check for completeness and accuracy, code and recode to appropriate accounts and departments as necessary
  • Prepare the actual cost as well as working capital and tax reports
  • Monitor receivables income
  • Update contracts according to customer specifications and budget changes
  • Review and approve invoices from suppliers for a particular project
  • Examine and approve overhead costs for use on the project
  • Review account balances for project assets and expenditures
  • Find out if the project has variance and submit variance reports to management.
  • Contact the receivables department concerning unpaid contract invoices
  • Provide reports on the project’s profitability is sent to the management
  • Inform the management of any potential opportunities to bill additional fees
  • Maintain project-related financial reports and material job costing data
  • Assist in managing cash flow
  • Oversee prevailing wage compliance for projects as necessary

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, CPA preferred
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of US GAAP
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of sales and payroll tax accounting across multiple jurisdictions

JOB TITLE: Installation Lead 

LOCATION: Denver, Colorado 

AVAILABILITY: Full time 

SALARY: $38 -$45/hour, depending on Tier  

POSITION SUMMARY: The installation lead will be responsible for overseeing Westview’s team of installation technicians while on project sites. This position will report directly to the field service manager, and will operate primarily from job sites, working to ensure a successful job completion from beginning to end. The person in this position will be responsible for supervising the installations of rigging systems, audio visual systems, lighting control systems, acoustical systems, seating installations, etc.   

NOTE: At Westview, we have three (3) tiers of Lead Installation Technician with increasing levels of skills and experience. Starting tier and pay scale will be determined by Field Service Supervisor based on our Tier guidelines, which will be explained during the interview process.

Tier I starting pay – $38/hour

Tier II starting pay – $40/hour

Tier III starting pay – $45/hour

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Represents the interests of Westview through positive and customer focused attitude
  • Takes part in installation and repairs of stage, performance, and theatrical rigging systems in various performance spaces and venues
  • Keeps a well-organized jobsite 
  • Attends jobsite related meetings as required
  • Acts as liaison between jobsite staff and management teams
  • Keeps accurate, up to date, well organized job site documentation
  • Performs effective end-user training on all scopes of work performed by Westview
  • Provides technical support when needed
  • Ensures management receives applicable documentation in a timely manner. 
  • Exceeds customer expectations for service and responsiveness
  • Works with project team to develop action plans and resolutions when issues arise to ensure completion time restraints are met
  • Stays up to date on the latest published rigging standards, installation procedures, and general practice of the industry

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ETCP Certified with a concentration in theatre
  • Degree in Technical Theatre or related technical field, or 3-6 years professional experience
  • Extensive customer service skills
  • Strong knowledge of various systems pertaining to entertainment spaces
  • Knowledge of construction industry practices
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong degree of flexibility and independence
  • Proficient computer skills using programs such as Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam

JOB TITLE: Controls Technician
LOCATION: Various (Los Angeles, CA – Denver, CO – Orlando, FL)
AVAILABILITY: Full time
HOURLY RATE: $28–$32 per hour
TRAVEL: 90%

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Controls Technician will be responsible for lighting system startups, commissioning
and maintenance. Duties will include system energization, low voltage terminations,
equipment installation and software programming. The successful candidate in this role
will be technically proficient, a self-starter, and able to work well in situations where there
is no immediate oversight. The individual in this role should be comfortable
communicating with a wide variety of people, including contractors, facilities operators,
and building owners.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs system energization, and ensures system is working appropriately
• Provides remote programming and support for customers
• Provides system training, and contractor installation training
• Prepares various site reports and documentation
• Repairs existing installations, as necessary
• Performs site surveys, review drawings before installs
• Build and maintain equipment racks and networking equipment
• Assists the installation division
• Assists with AutoCAD Work
• Assists in creation of system layouts and project takeoffs
• Assists in daily WVP operations as needed
• Maintains existing client relationships
• Travel to job sites both in and out of state
• Performs other project related tasks as they arise
• Maintain accurate as-built drawings

  • Assists Project Foreman and Site Superintendent in job site organization and site system layouts
  • Produces daily field reports as directed
  • Performs hardware and software upgrades as needed
  • Ensures management personnel receive all applicable project paperwork in a timely manner when directed by senior levels
  • Exceeds customer expectations for service and responsiveness
  • Represents the interests of Westview through a positive and customer focused attitude
